Obama, the new religion and its fanatical followers

As I sat staring at a blank page wondering how to start an article on a subject I care very little about, the US Presidential Election, I am brutally reminded that I am not here to poke fun at the circus and the clowns, nor am I here to attack/defend any of the clowns running for presidency. I am here to write about how ridiculous peoples attitude towards this subject has become of late.
Of course I am speaking from personal experience and any generalization can be excused as artistic license. Well, this is my disclaimer and/or excuse and I am sticking to it.
Lets get back to the Election of the new Bozo. Yes, Bozo because both McCain and Obama are clowns and I wouldn’t vote for either. I would campaign for the “none of the above” vote. I would null my vote with pride rather than vote for either of these loose cannons. And indeed, I would urge anyone to do the same.
To me, and understand that I care very little about this, McCain seems to be trigger happy while Obama wants to disarm the US. One is a traumatized PoW who no doubt would nuke a few countries and the other has no clue that cutting the military budget and disarming the US is an open invitation for further terrorist attacks. And the scary thing is that Obama is actually giving terrorists advance warning that the door is going to be left open for them because I fear he is going to win.
So, now comes the part that almost grabs my attention: Every single time I voice an opinion on the matter, because I am not a blind raving lunatic besotted with Obama, I am told to shut up. Now, that’s the democracy Obama supporters seem to want and are already practicing. I have been called all names under the sun because I openly say that Obama scares me more than McCain and that I believe him to be a Muslim (Obamas own words and I quote “My Muslim faith”*). Not that it matters to me if he is a Christian, Muslim or Satan worshipper but as far as my freedom of individual thought goes I am allowed to say what I think and what believe in.
I might be wrong. I hope I am. But I could be right too. Furthermore, I have a right to be wrong. It is my personal view. I owe YOU nothing. I am not saying anything slanderous or racist no matter how much you might try to turn the argument Do not say that I cannot quote Obama muslim “oops” unless I also quote him saying he is a devout Christian because that line of argument is bogus. I allow you to blindly follow the new messiah but allow me not to. Do not jump on my throat for having a mind of my own and the balls to voice it.
So, to summarize: If you support the Democratic candidate try not to act like a Republican. Do not tell me to shut up. Thanks ;)
